4 Days Gorilla Safari

Day 1. Arrive at the air port, meet your guide and after briefing, drive to your nearby hotel where you will spend your night and depending on time, you will first visit the botanical gardens in Entebbe on the shores of lake victoria to look for some of the primates such as red tailed monkey, black and white Colubus monkey and vervet monkey and some birds as well.

Day 2. Drive westwards to Bwindi impenetrable national park where you arrive after about 9 hours on good tarmac and partly marrum roads. Check in at your lodge and after a short relaxation, go for a self guided walk of about one and a half hours looking for the nearby wild life for example the rear terrestrial L’Hoest’s monkeys, duikers, beautiful birds while you also improve on fittness for tomorrow’s challenge. Stay in your spectacular sanctuary lodge for overnight.

Day 3. Wake up early morning, and after your breakfast, get ready for a full day life time gorilla experience. Dress in nature blending colours(not a guarantee), rain gear, hiking shoes, packed lunch, a minimum of one and a half litres of water and then proceed to the visitors’ information centre for briefing. You will be taken through a short back ground of the park, gorilla rules, and the dos and donts when you are in the park.
Bwindi is a tropical forest and it is normally wet and the fact it is thick and mountaineous, it’s sometimes challanging to maneuver through with little experience and due to this fact, we encourage you to hire porters to help carry your laggage, pull and push you whenever it is time.
Hiring a porter is also one way of supporting the community and gorilla conservation because it’s the people surrounding the park that normally ensure the health and well being of the gorillas. You will be escorted by armed rangers to scare away charging elephants in case, led by your ranger guide and after a successful tracking, you will be asked to come back to your starting point for a graduation ceremony.
We normally guarantee success to all of our clients because whenever the journey gets tougher, we have a technical team on ground which will organize for an African helicopter. This can be arranged even from the beginning of the trip for our clients who may have difficulties in movement. Stay overnight.

Day 4. Drive back to kampala and Entebbe international airport via lake mburo national park for a short game drive and equator for late departures. Lake mburo is located on Bwindi kampala high way and it is easy to branch for a short game drive to have a glimpse of the savanna settings and animals of Africa, these will include the zebras, Ankole long horned cows, rare elands, giraffes, rare Impalas, mongooses, squirrels, savannah and water birds such as the African fin foot, comorants, go away birds, rollers, owls and many more.
